Menswear Store

Still another idea I have but completely different from the others is a menswear store, featuring a particular style of clothing not currently available, or if it is available, it's not particularly common.  I also have an idea to promote the store.  This is an idea that would cost relatively little to begin, but could have tremendous upside potential by franchising.

Cost: Store rental, stock, operating expenses, promotional expenses
Profit: Potentially unlimited

Similar Idea

Another idea I have is to build a community of similar but different simplified houses fairly tightly grouped together for a bargain price.  By using a simplified design but using a decent number of various design elements, it would be possible to build inexpensive housing for a great many people and still have each one be unique.  Also by contracting for the purchase of important house elements, such as lumber, plumbing, appliances, etc., in bulk, it would be possible to bring down the costs of each house, thereby making each house more affordable.

Cost: $45,000 per house * 100 houses = $4.5 million
Profit: $50,000 per house - $45,000 = $5,000/house * 100 houses = $500,000

I anticipate that at a selling price of $50K per house that the entire 100 house community would sell out in a month or two, maybe even before the first house is built.

Favorite Idea

My favorite idea is a house building project using my own novel house designs.  I have talked to both architects and developers with the same result from all of them: "That's very nice, but they won't sell."  So my revised plan is to build them and then rent them out.  Then all the risk of ownership of unusual houses is on me and not on the occupant of the dwelling.  Returns would be slow...  it takes a lot longer to recoup your investment on a house from renting it than it would from selling it.  But I think with enough of them, income would be substantial and my reputation would be assured.  I might even get some interest from people who want an unusual home design who would hire me to build something for them.

Idea: real estate investment
Cost: ≈$180K per house for 10-20 houses
Return: ≈$1,500 per house per month times occupancy rate minus expenses, indefinitely

Introduction

For anyone who is interested, I am creating this blog to offer opportunities for investment in my business projects.  I have a lot of ideas but no money to invest in them, so if you have money but no ideas, we could make a perfect team.

Some of my ideas would cost very little to start, in the thousands or tens of thousands of dollars, while others would cost a great deal, in the millions or at least hundreds of thousands.  Some of them have a great deal of upward potential while others have a predictable and limited potential, though still profitable.  All of them are in the idea stage only.  I don't do business plans.  But I have thought a lot about some of them and can give you a vivid description of what I have in mind.  What I'm going to give here is a bare bones description so no one can rip them off.
